Due to illness, I am no longer practising acupuncture.

I have a long- term medical condition which requires further and continuing treatment.  As a result, I have had to make the difficult decision to stop working.  I had hoped that, after resting over the Summer, I would be able to return to seeing patients in the Autumn.  However, it is now clear to me that this would not be sustainable.  I could not be sure that I could sustain the energy to provide the care that as a patient you should expect.

I have decided not to recommend another local practitioner.  Whoever I suggest, they will not be the right person for everyone, even though they might be extremely proficient at practising acupuncture.  The best advice I can give is that, first and foremost, it is probably better to find someone you like and trust, and who you feel will care for you.  Ideally, they should also be a member of the British Acupuncture Council.

Stopping practising has been a difficult decision to make.  I will miss all of you.  In particular, I shall miss those of you who I have been caring for over time, some for many years.  I hope I have been able to help you to recover and maintain, at least to some extent, your health and well-being.  Thank you for putting your faith in me as a practitioner.

Many good wishes for the future,

Geoff Wadlow.
